SCS Distribution, the sole distributor in Southern Africa for Axis Communications, has signed a agreement with the Danish software company Milestone Systems, making it possible to offer the expanding security market complete digital solutions, comprising network cameras and video servers from Axis and security software from Milestone.
Milestone is a world leader in software solutions for network cameras and video servers. The software is targeted at the professional security market and complements Axis`s regular offering of advanced video products.
"Axis has shown that its video products are of extremely high standard. Since we also distribute Milestone`s products locally, we will offer our customers high-quality total solutions based on the new generation of digital network-based surveillance systems," commented Roy Alves, MD for SCS Distribution.
"We will make it simple for the user of traditional analogue surveillance systems to upgrade to digital systems. Axis network cameras and video servers, in combination with Milestone`s software, offer a complete digital surveillance system, which is well suited to meet the requirements of discerning customers," continued Alves.
Milestone is already part of the Axis Application Developer Program and Axis video products are already used in many areas in combination with Milestone software in various applications, from traditional security applications to the monitoring in the processing industry. The software will be available through Axis`s traditional sales channels for video and security market solutions.
