Axiz, sole distributor in SA for Gainward, has announced that Gainward has entered the multi-monitor market through its new FX Powerpack!
Philip Henning, Gainward product manager at Axiz, states: "By using the Gainward FX Powerpack! in the AGP slot, users get support for up to two monitors. If they fill up the PCI slots on their motherboards with the brand new Gainward FX Powerpack! Pro/660 TV-DVI, they are able to add two additional monitor connectors with each PCI card."
Henning adds: "Although Gainward is a slightly higher priced PCI card than other models available, it offers significant extras in addition to the multi-monitor capability which more than justify the price."

The card is able to support two monitors simultaneously as a result of the Nvidia nView multi-display technology which allows the user to specify any two different displays, including LCD flat panels, CRT monitors and TVs, while Gainward`s EXPERTool tuning utility enables the display properties to be modified to customise the performance and achieve maximum efficiency.
The card supports LCD output with a DVI connector, offers TV-out for both NTSC and PAL TV systems. It supports all versions of DirectX, including version 9.0 and lower, offers full OpenGL support for versions 1.4 and lower and is compatible with Microsoft Windows 98 (SE), 2000, ME and XP. The card comes complete with a DVI to VGA adapter, an S-Video adapter, a case badge and an installation disc. Gainward products are backed by a three-year warranty.
