AXiZ appointed as Microsoft Sub-Distributor

Johannesburg, 12 Jul 1999

AXiZ has announced that it has been appointed as a Microsoft Authorised OEM Product Sub-Distributor, with immediate effect. AXiZ will be distributing a selected range of Microsoft products.

"We will initially concentrate our focus on the operating systems, including Windows 95 and Windows 98, along with Windows NT and Windows Workstation," says Justin Agar, Microsoft product manager at AXiZ. "However, we will also be distributing Microsoft Office, and will continue to supply the Microsoft range of peripherals such as mice and keyboards."

This appointment is very important to AXiZ, which is expanding its product range to include value-added products such as servers, networking and specialist components. "These type of products are proving to be exceptionally popular with our dealer base, and the addition of Microsoft to the range can only add to the value that we can give to our customers," says Anthony Fitzhenry, MD of AXiZ. "We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Microsoft."

As a Microsoft Sub-Distributor, AXiZ will be able to offer exceptionally good pricing to its customers. "We are becoming a one-stop shop for our customers, and will continue to develop our range in order to facilitate this," says Fitzhenry. "AXiZ has chosen the road that is rapidly taking us to becoming the most seductive proposition for dealers in the SA market."

AXiZ is South Africa`s premier computer component distribution company, with offices in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Pretoria and a staff complement exceeding 150 professionals. Founded in 1989, AXiZ has evolved from a supplier of memory modules and processors to be the leading distributor of branded end-to-end PC components, from motherboards, processors and PC cards to networking products, storage products, and graphics cards.
