AXiZ appoints Getronics to support Intel-based server offerings

AXiZ has appointed Getronics as its authorised local service provider for the Intel-based servers and workstations produced by AXiZ` in-house assembly plant, MTO (Made to Order).

"Made to Order (MTO) is not a brand - rather, it is an option offered by AXiZ to its resellers to provide flexible and custom configuration and assembly services of high-quality Intel server and workstation products," says Ryan Steadman, server product manager at AXiZ. "Every system build that comes off the line at MTO is configured to strict ISO9002 standards, and can now be backed by the service support offered by Getronics, a global player."

The agreement sees Getronics providing spares logistics and onsite contract and warranty repair services throughout South Africa. These include:

• 3 year, Next business Day Service - countrywide

• 3 year, 4 hour response - major centres i.e. Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban

• 3-year, 4 x 24 x 7 Gold (four hour response, 24 hours a day, seven days a week) - major centres only

• 3 year, 4 x 24 x 7 Silver (same as the Gold option, except that the customer holds parts and hardware components on site) - major centres only
