"Our focus is very much on Intel products at the moment," says Axiz marketing manager Brian Clarke. "Industry-standard Intel processors, mainboards and servers have taken us a leap forward in terms of the range and value we offer our customers."
Clarke says there`s a lack of awareness of Intel products in the networking market, including the on-board network interface card (NIC) or LAN-on-board market.
"Intel dominates the 100-Mbit Ethernet market and has the jump on any silicon-based competition with its switches, hubs and network cards," says Clarke. "Although Intel is not renowned as a mainboard manufacturer, it is in fact the largest manufacturer of desktop and server mainboards in the world."
The roadshow will be split into two separate sessions. The first session is aimed at the small business environment (up to 50 users) and will concentrate on single and dual Pentium-II server products. The second session will focus on larger environments typically using quad-Xeon servers and EtherXpress hubs and switches. Guests can attend either one or both sessions, depending on their level of interest.
The Axiz/Intel roadshow will run for three days in Cape Town and Johannesburg from November 18, and for two days in Durban. For information on free bookings and availability, e-mail Nicky Wagner at nicky@axiz.co.za.
