Axiz is offering its SME dealers a hands-on course on how to "build your own network server" (BYONS) using Intel server and network products. The free course is an overview of server technology, covering all aspects of redundancy and manageability and the importance of these features in the SME server environment. Delegates will have the option of custom-building a server supplied to them at a discounted rate.
"The emphasis of the course is entirely practical, exploring the process of setting up and configuring a reliable network server," says Axiz marketing manager Brian Clarke. "We trust the course will help our customers pass on added value to their own Intel clients."
Depending on the success of the course, Axiz will introduce a similar points-for-training incentive as part of its comprehensive dealer training strategy in 1999.
