Axiz, in conjunction with Intel, has announced a new programme for its registered Intel Product Integrators (IPIs) in South Africa that will assist resellers in evaluating new Intel products.
The IPI Demo Discount programme will enable IPIs to purchase discounted products for evaluation or for use as sales tools for customer presentations or demonstrations.
"The programme kicks off with the Intel BI440ZX motherboard, as well as a range of Intel networking products," says Kirsty Burrows, product manager at Axiz. "Intel intends to expand the programme over the next few months as new products are introduced."
The IntelBI440ZX motherboard, which supports the Intel Celeron processor, offers system integrators a cost-effective system solution based on the smaller ATX form factor and new 370-pin socket connector for the new Plastic Pin Grid Array (PPGA) package.
"IPIs purchase their products through Axiz, then download the claim form from the IPInet Web site," says Burrows. "After completing the form, it should be faxed back to Intel and a statement will be received by the IPI at the end of each month. At the end of each quarter, the IPI will then either receive a bankers draft or a wire transfer for all units covered by the programme."
Burrows adds that there are some limitations to the programme. "Only products on the IPI Demo Discount Product List are covered by the offer, and there will be limited numbers of each unit for a limited period only - which means that IPIs should act now to take advantage of the programme," she says. "Only one claim per product can be made by the IPI, and that product is not for resale." She concludes that a full list of terms and conditions is available on the IPInet web site. A full list of products on the programme is also available from Axiz.
