Axiz offers bundle deal on Windows XP, memory to get PCs racing

Johannesburg, 30 Sep 2002

Recognising the need for increased memory requirements in order to experience the full benefits of Microsoft Windows XP, local distributor Axiz has launched a special bundle for the months of October and November that makes it affordable to upgrade.

The bundle, which includes 128MB Alpica SDRAM and Microsoft Windows XP, also offers the incentive of a useful Microsoft toolkit for every 30 bundles purchased. The offer is valid for October and November only and resellers are encouraged to contact Axiz immediately for pricing details of this special.

"The benefits of additional memory when running Windows XP are clear," says Justin Agar, Microsoft product manager at Axiz. "We recommend using the minimum memory requirement of 128MB to experience the full benefits - such as higher levels of system uptime, improved system integrity and manageability, and providing a cleaner, more intuitive workspace for users."

Bruce Murphy, memory product manager at Axiz, agrees. "While systems running 128MB of memory will support the OS, using at least 196MB will provide a better working environment," he says. "With the special deal we are currently offering, users can even upgrade to 256MB - which will get any sluggish PC racing."

Axiz is a distributor of products from market leaders HP, Microsoft, Intel, Kingston, Kalliba and LG, and also carries a wide range of leading brand components and solutions. More information is available at www.axiz.com.
