Axiz provides latest multitouch-enabled tablet and notebook to small and medium enterprises

Johannesburg, 09 Sep 2010

Axiz and HP continue to provide small and medium enterprises with IT solutions that are tailored to improve manageability, productivity and mobility.

Axiz, a leading IT infrastructure distributor will be adding HP's latest touch-enabled convertible tablet and notebook PC to its portfolio.

"HP's latest innovative tablets and notebook PCs enable us to continue to provide our clients with IT solutions that are custom made. It is integral that we continue to provide the latest technologies and cutting-edge solutions to our clients, so as to ensure their productivity is constantly enhanced," says Johann Toerien, Axiz product manager for HP Notebooks.

The ultra-thin HP EliteBook 2740p is a multitouch-enabled convertible tablet providing an interactive experience. Ideal for on-the-go professionals, it combines the power and reliability of an HP business notebook PC with the flexibility of a tablet. Navigating through applications and menus is quick and easy with multitouch gestures, finger taps and swipes across the screen. Users also experience less reflection and a higher contrast for improved viewing in natural light with the optional outdoor-view display.

A variety of battery options are accessible, a six-cell Li-ion prismatic battery provides uptime of up to five hours or the optional HP 2700 Ultra-Slim Battery can provide up to 11 hours when combined with the standard battery. The docking base is another handy optional, allowing the user to utilise peripherals without having to constantly plug and unplug. The Ultra-Slim Expansion Base comes with a DVDRW drive and can be easily transported.

Connecting users with their preferred networks is automated and simplified with HP Connection Manager 3.0. Users are also able to access the Internet, company intranet, email and critical information wherever they may be with the integrated HP Mobile Broadband powered by Gobi. The 2540p also comes with a variety of battery options that include a three-cell battery providing up to four hours, a six-cell proving up to 8 hours and up to 10.5 hours with a nine-cell battery.

"These latest additions to the portfolio provide an improved selection of products to meet business needs while providing users with a variety of technologies for ease of use, convenience and increased productivity," concludes Toerien.
