Axiz was recently named Best Regional Distributor in Southern Africa, based on outstanding growth over the past two years in IP surveillance sales for Axis Communications, the global leader in network video solutions.
Colin Nish, Host Platform Lead for Axiz, says the company is delighted with this recognition of its efforts in growing the Axis brand within the region.
"We have put a lot of effort into making the product readily available to our partners and resellers actively involved in the Axis channel partner programme."
Surveillance, Nish says, is no longer strictly the realm of security companies. "IP video surveillance is growing strongly within the traditional IT reseller space and Axiz is well positioned regionally to support IT resellers with installations in existing verticals, such as retail, transportation, education, government, banking and finance, and industrial."
Country Manager for Axis Communications Roy Alves said Axiz boasted a staggering growth in IP surveillance sales of 167% over the past two years.
"The market for security surveillance is shifting away from traditional analogue CCTV, with IT reseller and system integrators becoming better positioned to deploy network cameras," said Alves.
"Axis has sold over a million network cameras globally since it developed the first IP camera in 1996, with almost 50% of those cameras being sold in the past two years. The majority of sales were via IT distribution."
