Axiz showcases digital, mobile products

Mobile and digital technologies are taking the world by storm. According to research house, Gartner, mobile unit shipments are set to grow by a staggering 22.1%, while voracious consumer appetite is driving digital sales in Europe, Middle East and Africa through the roof.

Local infrastructure distributor Axiz says this rise in demand has led to increased technological innovation and as a result, many new and improved products.

But, says Axiz, this proliferation has led to consumer confusion with many uncertain about what to buy and turning to resellers for advice. To assist in providing the necessary insight into technology, Axiz recently held a digital home and mobile exhibition to showcase its innovation in IT, while creating a platform to exhibit and interact with its resellers.

"The exhibition was aimed at informing resellers about the breadth and depth of our mobile and digital products. It provided Axiz with an opportunity to demonstrate how we successfully unite technology with intelligence and assist resellers in their sales process," says Craig Brunsden, chief marketing officer, Axiz.

A few lucky people managed to walk away with a prize:
* Felipe Serralheiro, Bytes Managed Services, won a digital media centre
* Albert Griezel, Ebis, a HP notebook NX6110
* Ennie Mamabolo, Bytes Systems Integration, won an Acer CS-5531 digital camera and an Acer notebook carry bag

Other winners included Arnold du Toit from Computers CC and Johan Terblanche from Ebis who both won an Axiz USB Flash 128MB MP3 player and Kingston 128MB SD card.

"With such a terrific turnout, we are sure our resellers took home valuable knowledge. They were in awe of the impressive selection of laptops, digital accessories and gadgets on display. We`d like to congratulate the winners; we are sure their prizes will come in handy in a developing digital and mobile world," concludes Brunsden.
