Axiz has announced the immediate availability of the Lexmark P6250 Home Photo Centre All-in-One and the Lexmark P915 Home Photo Printer, designed to dramatically change the at-home photo printing experience. Aimed primarily at the retail and home photo customers, the products are available from Axiz at estimated retail prices of R1 499 and R2 499, respectively, inclusive of VAT.
"The Lexmark P6250 Home Photo Center All-In-One, along with the Lexmark P915 printer, introduces a new design for Lexmark with renewed focus on ease of use and speed," says Adele Oosthuizen, Lexmark product manager, Axiz.
The two new products offer simple photo printing and purposeful design and are infused with features such as a photo printing process. This quick and intuitive hub is located front and centre of the LCD display in both printers, offering additional help to make a users` life easier.
The 2.5-inch colour LCD features built-in video instructions and a video demonstration, which visually walks the user through the steps of replacing cartridges. A countdown timer helps busy consumers to multitask while printing their photos.
When using these products in standalone mode, the colour LCD previews how the printed image will appear.
Additional features that make the printing experience easier include smart software, which is designed to integrate with Lexmark`s technology. This Imaging Studio software helps novice users to photo edit features such as red-eye reduction, cropping and re-sizing, when in PC-attached mode.
The Photo Scan Guide in the Lexmark P6250 offers blue LED lights that serve as a reminder of where the top left corner of your document should be placed when scanning.
The Lexmark P6250 and P915 offer on-board camera card readers that support PictBridge technology and feature six-colour output with borderless capabilities. Images can be produced with resolution of up to 4 800 x 1 200 dots per inch with inks that last for decades under display conditions.
The Accu-FeedT paper handling system allows for easy switching of media, while sensing technology detects the loaded media type and adjusts the driver for the best possible output. An embedded storage compartment within the Lexmark P6250 accommodates a replacement cartridge, ensuring users can always have an extra one close-at-hand.
