Local IT infrastructure distributor, Axiz has been acknowledged by HP as the distributor that has shown the most growth in the server product arena over the six-month period from November 2003 to April 2004 for the ISE region.
Including Russia, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Middle East, Africa and SA, Axiz is now one of HP`s fastest growing server distributors.
This is the first year Axiz has been acknowledged by HP and according to Axiz sales and marketing director, Brian Clarke, there is more to come: "Our focused approach as an IT infrastructure distributor has contributed to our success, as well as our team of experienced and knowledgeable sales agents and product managers Andrew Soddy and Marius Redelinghuis."
Axiz has also reported an increased demand from the small and medium enterprise space. "HP`s technology and legacy in this space has made it possible for us to successfully penetrate the SME market. The products are well positioned and aggressively priced," says Clarke.
IT spend in the SME sector continues to increase as does the adoption of broader technology solutions, which includes server deployment. In 2003, less than 1% of SME IT spend was recorded for HP servers. So far, growth for 2004, as indicated by Axiz, is on the increase.
