Local IT infrastructure distributor Axiz has been awarded the Best Server Growth Year on Year Server award for 2003/2004. The award was made at the Intel Sales Conference META (Middle East, Turkey and Africa) regions held in Dubai recently.
Mark Forbes, Intel server product manager for Axiz, says: "Axiz is delighted with the award. We attribute it to several factors: a good product mix, exceptional value-added service, a skilled sales team and good customer relationships."
Axiz`s performance is in line with IDC predictions which forecast that enterprise server growth will continue throughout 2004, expanding worldwide spending for servers by 5% to $53 billion. In addition, IDC forecasts the worldwide server market will achieve a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.8% over the next five years.
"Axiz was recognised for the hard work and dedication they put in to the Intel server business in SA. They were successfully rated against other Intel distributors in the META region. It came as no surprise when they won the award as they have shown great success in the Intel server space in the channel," says Jean Zorich, distribution business manager for sub-Saharan and South Africa, Intel.
The award reaffirms Axiz`s position as a leading Intel server solutions distributor in the channel. "Our ongoing commitment to meeting customer needs and providing Intel server solutions, in particular the provision of both Intel hardware and software, adds immense value to our resellers," says Forbes.
