Local IT infrastructure distributor Axiz has been awarded the Microsoft OEM System Builder Distributor of the Year award for the second consecutive time. The award was made at the recent annual South African Microsoft Partner Summit.
Justin Agar, Axiz product manager for Microsoft, says: "Axiz exceeded its revenue targets, and met all metrics and objectives set for the period July 2003 to June 2004."
According to Agar, Microsoft`s Office and Server 2003 products have contributed significantly to the growth experienced over the past year. In addition, Microsoft`s focus on hardware and its Office 2003 basic for entry-level users complemented the growth.
"The drive towards a wireless environment has increased the sales of Microsoft`s new range of hardware such as the optical mouse and keyboard. We anticipate that this trend will continue and look forward to another successful year," comments Agar.

The award is of benefit to resellers, reaffirming Axiz`s position as a leading Microsoft distributor in the channel. "Our ongoing commitment to customer service, in particular addressing questions around Microsoft licensing and legalisation, adds immense value to our customers," says Agar.
