AXS-One SA and RCI Southern Africa today announced their joint venture company, Hospitality Warehouse, which will provide timeshare and other resorts with a comprehensive on- line procurement service. Hospitality Warehouse will become operational during the second quarter of 2001.
RCI Southern Africa is the region`s leading holiday exchange company; whilst AXS-One is a USA-based international provider of e-commerce solutions.
Hospitality Warehouse will act as the Internet host for a network of preferred vendors, utilising TransAXS solutions provided by AXS-One. It will offer a wide variety of resort-related products, ranging from insurance to consumables.
"Indications are that the vendors` cost of sales will be cut by 15- 20% and the efficiency of the resorts` procurement processes dramatically improved," commented Sandy Begg, RCI Corporate Services Director.
Initially, the service will be offered to RCI`s 184 local resorts, with a subsequent rollout to the general leisure industry.
