Azul enables speedy ROI
Azul Systems has announced the availability of two new Vega 2 Compute Appliances, says Weblogic.
The 7240 and 7280 models are the most powerful SMP systems in a compact form factor, the company says, offering up to 768 processing cores on 16 processor chips with 768 GB of memory.
According to Azul Systems, the new Compute Appliances provide the fastest path to maximising the ROI of business-critical Java applications, by allowing applications to transparently achieve 5X to 50X greater scalability and throughput while delivering consistent performance, even under unpredictable load.
CodeMesh helps Wachovia
CodeMesh says Wachovia Investment Banking has adopted CodeMesh's JunC++ion and JuggerNET technologies for solving challenges related to complex programming language integration, reports Grid Today.
The move has already saved Wachovia tens of thousands of dollars and sharply cut the time required to enact integration projects.
"What would have taken months of effort to get these integration projects right, instead took a few days," said Brent Smolinski, VP of credit risk architecture at Wachovia Investment Banking. "CodeMesh helped us integrate projects quickly."
