BAA selects Pegasystems BPM

Airport operator BAA has chosen Pegasystems' SmartBPM platform to support Airport - Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) at London Heathrow Airport, reports CNNMoney.

The first phase of the multi-stage project at Heathrow was delivered in just nine weeks. "This extraordinary achievement is a testament to both the unrivalled flexibility of SmartBPM's rules-based approach and the first-class collaborative support of the Pegasystems and BAA project teams," states David Wells, VP and MD, EMEA, Pegasystems.

The A-CDM programme, a concept developed by Eurocontrol - the European Air Traffic Control agency - is designed to improve the overall efficiency of operations at an airport and create a co-ordinated Europe-wide air traffic management system, encompassing both en route and airport operations.

Indian private sector institution Yes Bank has entered into a strategic partnership with Cordys, a business process software provider, to automate, manage and improve key business processes, says Trading Markets.

Rockford Mutual Insurance, a property and casualty insurance company, has reported increased efficiencies and reduced costs in its claims department after deploying content management and workflow products from Interactive Intelligence, writes Benzinga.

The Interactive Intelligence products purchased by Rockford Mutual are part of the company's AcroSoft product line designed to streamline insurance processes by digitising documents into electronic format for more effective access and routing.

“The Interactive Intelligence content management and workflow products have helped us increase efficiencies by enabling us to more easily and quickly share information between our systems, while at the same time reducing errors by eliminating the need for rekeying,” says Rockford Mutual Insurance VP of claims, Roger Kaage.
