Barloworld Logistics' CRM implementation honoured

Microsoft and Gold Certified partner, IS Partners, have presented Barloworld Logistics with the 2006 Convergence Award for EMEA.

Microsoft's Convergence Pinnacle Awards recognise honour and celebrate customers that have achieved outstanding success with their Microsoft solutions as well as Microsoft partners' solutions.

Customers were nominated by their partners, Microsoft employees and fellow customers.

Barloword Logistics was chosen from nominations throughout the EMEA region and was one of only 14 organisations, and the only Microsoft Dynamics CRM implementations to receive an award. The award was allocated in the role-based sales, marketing and customer service category.

"While the award recognises the overall success of Barloworld Logistics' CRM implementation, it also honours the client's ongoing commitment to making CRM work," says Heath Turner, CRM director at IS Partners. "The success of this implementation is an example of how in-house IT teams, implementation partners and the vendor, in this instance Microsoft, can work closely together to ensure CRM solutions deliver tangible value." Customer implementations are judged according to the size of the implementation, value shown in terms of productivity, and the value delivered to client processes. Barloworld Logistics is working towards enterprise-wide adoption of the CRM platform, but has seen significant benefits in terms of the current application of CRM to drive its sales mechanisms.
