Basix Communications (Pty) Ltd releases TRENDnet`s latest VOIP innovation, the ClearSky VOIP Bluetooth Phone with Bluetooth Adapter (TVP-SP1BK) for Skype.
The new handset kit allows Skype users to chat at home, in their office or on the road without having to stay in front of their computer.
The kit includes a wireless handset and Bluetooth adapter to ensure compatibility and seamless voice clarity. The handset follows the traditional button behaviour of a traditional handset, but also supports all of the popular Skype standard functions such as Contacts, Call List, SkypeOut, Conference Call, etc.
Furthermore, the TVP-SP1BK comes with a long-life rechargeable Lithium-ion battery able to sustain up to six hours talk time and over 60 hours on standby.
The included TBW-104UB USB Bluetooth 2.0 Adapter supports Enhanced Data Range (EDR) to simultaneously communicate with other Bluetooth 2.0 compliant devices at high speed such as digital cameras, PDA`s, mobile phones, printers, keyboards, etc. The adapter supports Class 1 radio technology to help extend coverage distance up to 100m, adding more distance and performance than normal Bluetooth adapters.

The product will begin shipping March 2006 with a three-year warranty.
In addition to the Skype solution, TRENDnet will have a number of exciting new innovations on display at the 2006 CeBit Tradeshow in Hanover, Germany (Hall 16, Booth # D18) from 9 to 15 March 2006.
