BCS rewards year's top achievers

Johannesburg, 31 May 2007

At a recent awards ceremony held at Emperors Palace, Bytes Communications Systems (BCS) commended its top achievers in Johannesburg and surrounding regions.

Three hundred of BCS's top sales and technical staff turned up at the glamorous event, which was appropriately themed: "Playing to Win", with d'ecor and ambience to match.

Similar functions were also hosted by BCS for the Cape Town branch, at the Royal Yacht Club, and for Durban at Point Yacht Club.

Special guests at the function included David Redshaw, Chief Executive Officer of Bytes Technology Group SA, Peter Riskowitz, Chief Financial Officer of Bytes, Ian Pennel, CEO of Fintech and others from Bytes Head Office.

Attending on behalf of the BCS head office were George Isaacson, Managing Director, Kim Booth, Financial Director, and Marius Venter, Marketing Manager.

Says Isaacson: "The function was very well attended, and has been widely acclaimed as the best BCS company awards event we have ever held. The theme was remarkably appropriate and well thought-out, and the video clips of the 438 cricket game and the golfing story, "The Greatest Game Ever Played" enhanced the spirit of the evening in spectacular fashion." Awards from Johannesburg were given to Leanne Bredenkamp for Business Technology Acceptances Person of the Year; Sean Freeman for Sales Person of the Year; Christo Botes and Danie van der Westhuizen for Customer Services Division Person of the Year. Koos Botha won the Managing Director's Award.

The Special Achievers Award was given to Peet Botha from Durban and Charl Zietsman from Cape Town. CSD Person of the Year from Cape Town was awarded to Marius Joubert, and the winner from Durban was Evelyn Delport.

The ceremony also honoured those who managed to meet their sales goals in Club 100, BCS's incentive programme. This year the reward was a trip to Spain and Morocco, and the winners were Sean Freeman, Colin Enslin, Les Cawood, Pedro Gemelgo, Mike Smales, Brad McNamara, Peet Lindeque and Gary Symons.

"Well done to everyone who was involved in making these awards evenings so memorable, and congratulations to all of our winners," Isaacson said.
