BCS unveils new business objectives, product offerings to users, industry

Johannesburg, 16 Nov 2006

Bytes Communications Systems (BCS), the business communications specialist, has introduced new additions to the company's portfolio of service and product offerings, as well as extended functionality within its partner solutions.

BCS, a member of the JSE-listed Bytes Technology Group (BTG), presented its full range of communication offerings to customers this week.

The goal of the announcement was to introduce customers to the full range of communications solutions it has to offer, all of which are designed explicitly to assist users in better servicing their clients in the areas of customer relations, employee productivity and in turn assist in reducing the costs of communications.

Says Richard Menton, Product Development Manager at BCS: "With the massive growth in the voice and communications market we saw a need from our customers to be able to better understand our solution offerings, and see where they could derive more from their existing technology investments, as well as which new solutions best suited them. It is against this backdrop that we decided to package it into a single roadshow where we could demonstrate all of the new products as well as showcase our capabilities as a group."

BCS currently offers customers a range of solutions which extends right from the SME to the enterprise user. The company builds innovative communication solutions by integrating products, applications and services, creating value for its customers.

Adds George Isaacson, managing director of BCS: "BCS provides a complete range of business communications solutions, including IP and legacy voice equipment, mobile communications, contact centres, structured cabling, LAN-WAN data networks and infrastructure, and a comprehensive range of after-sales services. We currently also benefit directly from the 2.8 billion Euro (2002) investment in research and development that Alcatel invests in its centres of excellence around the world."

BCS currently employs some 240 people nationally, and continues to support its existing client base through internationally certified engineers and support staff.

BCS's technology partner, Alcatel, is an international group, operating in over 130 countries around the world. Alcatel is the number one PBX vendor in Europe, and is rapidly strengthening its presence in the US where its products, both voice and data, have won several prestigious awards. Alcatel is a recognised innovator in voice and data convergence.
