Listed outsourcing company Business Connexion (BCX) has promoted its FD to deputy CEO.
Vanessa Olver was appointed to succeed Marius Schoeman as FD and CFO in August 2009, after Schoeman took over the role of operational executive.
Olver will move to the position of deputy CEO from next month and will also assume the role of the executive responsible for BCX's Services Division.
Before joining BCX, Olver was FD at Standard Bank Africa, a position she held since 2006. She also held positions in listed companies and accounting firms in both the US and UK.
Lawrence Weitzman has been appointed as FD to take over from Olver from next month. Weitzman is a chartered accountant and has been with BCX since February 2005 as group financial manager.
“The board congratulates Vanessa [Olver] and Lawrence [Weitzman] on their appointments,” it says in a statement.
BCX's shares closed 1c, or 0.21%, higher yesterday to 485c. Its 52-week high is 700c, which it hit on 11 April 2010, while its 52-week low was 440c, a level it dropped to on 10 August this year.
