Masterskill recently added Pastel Accounting Version 6.0 - the first courseware ever to receive Official Pastel Courseware from Pastel South Africa - to their wide range of courseware solutions.
Prescribed to all authorised training centres, the course manual contains modules containing objectives, explanations and hands-on assignments. It is however, not only aimed at students, but also at experienced accountants, financial managers and bookkeepers, providing them with a continual learning experience.
"This courseware is designed to assist the student and experienced accountant to go beyond the basics of Pastel," says Madeleine van Tonder, Masterskill MD. "After studying this manual, the student will not only be able to process transactions on Pastel but will understand the set-up of the company parameters on Pastel, the working of Pastel and the complete financial cycle, from entering opening balances to processing year-end procedures."
According to Van Tonder, the training manual ultimately serves four purposes - learning, review, reference and exercises - so students can continue learning and exploring even after they have completed the course.
"First of all, during a lesson, the student will use the manual to complete a series of hands-on tasks that focus on specific techniques and skills needed to effectively use Pastel Partner Version 6," she says. "They can then use the manual to review the material studied in class."
"Students can also use the manual as their first source of information when researching or referring to specific topics. And finally, the exercises in the manual serve as an assessment tool and are compiled to suit each lesson`s objectives."
Masterskill includes as part of its solution the Pastel Accounting Version 6.0 self-paced training manual, and is hosting the certification exams on Mtest.co.za, their online assessment engine.
