Bell Micro reassures channel
After being de-listed from the Nasdaq Stock Exchange for not submitting accounts on time, distributor Bell Micro claims operations will continue as usual in the UK and Europe, says PCRetail.
The firm has reportedly obtained waivers from major lenders for audited financial statements, and its common stock will be quoted on the Pink Sheet Electronic Quotation Service.
"Our suppliers have given us their full support and we have no constriction of credit with them and our customers should see no change whatsoever as a result of this," said Graeme Watt, president of Bell Micro Europe. "From a UK and Europe perspective, we are operating on a business as usual basis."

Infotronics will now make Veeam's virtual appliance products for managing VMware ESX Server environments available as part of its portfolio.
Phil Lancaster, technical director at Infotronics, said the distribution agreement was a strategic decision to provide users with market-proven virtualisation solutions.
Concentric offers e-mail protection
Concentric is making its Perimeter E-mail Protection service available to channel resellers through the new Concentric reseller programme, says eChannelLine.
Targeted at SMEs, the Perimeter E-mail Protection service provides e-mail security, filtering and delivery backup for businesses that own and manage their own on-premise e-mail servers.
It was designed to filter spam, viruses and malware from even getting to the business' e-mail server. In one customer case, this has reduced a daily incoming e-mail load of nearly one million messages at the on-premise e-mail server to under 30 000 messages, said Bill Uyeki, senior product manager at Concentric.
