Bendata has announced a new channel initiative to boost its worldwide growth through indirect sales of its software and services, including its flagship product, Heat. The Heat Global Alliance Programme aims to double the proportion of revenue generated through VARs and systems integrators globally by the end of 1999.
As part of this plan, Bendata has significantly increased staffing globally to ensure dedicated account management and comprehensive technical support resources for Heat Global Alliance Partners. In addition, the company will provide extensive marketing support, including a market development fund. All partners will have access to Bendata`s secure Web site, the Partner Pavilion, for information on product development and sales and marketing tools.
Partners in all territories will benefit from the Heat Academy training program, which covers Bendata`s complete software and services offering. This will give Heat Global Alliance Partners the opportunity to become Heat Certified Partners staffed with Heat Certified Professionals.
"The support software market is predicted to grow from its current value of $875m to $1,5bn in five years and it is important to ensure Bendata has the infrastructure and sales model in place to capitalize on this expansion," says Vance Brown, Bendata president and CEO. "The success of our product range, retention of our customer base and investment from Ixchange provides our partners with a secure revenue stream. The Heat Global Alliance Program will play a crucial role in accelerating our existing growth and enhancing our position as a market leader in the worldwide support management arena," he adds.
"With the injection of funds made available through their recent acquisition by Ixchange, Bendata can put a strong, consistent focus on the business support for partners," says Rob Katz, director of international business for Bendata`s parent company Ixchange Technology.
"The Heat Global Alliance Programme will allow Heat Global Alliance Partners to benefit from existing partnerships with major players such as Microsoft," says Stephen Uden, corporate and partner marketing manager at Microsoft. "Microsoft is pleased to be working with Bendata to broaden its channels and develop its business. As a member of the Microsoft Certified Solution Provider program, Bendata has demonstrated its investment in skill and produced great help desk solutions built on Microsoft technology."
