BenQ introduces new digital camera

Johannesburg, 04 Mar 2004

BenQ, digital lifestyle specialist, has released the C50 digital camera, featuring 5.0 mega pixels, 3X optical zoom and PASM mode.

"With the C50, we`ve developed a feature-packed product that is both portable and easy to use," says Manoj Tripathi, South African Country Manager for BenQ. "The C50 allows everyone to capture their most important memories through a user-friendly interface."

The Command dial allows the user to easily choose settings while the diopter correction dial can be adjusted to suit the user`s vision, making images as sharp and clear as possible.

The C50 features PASM modes for easy use and allows the user to capture moments professionally. By detecting the lighting conditions, DC C50 automatically adjusts the shutter speed and aperture. Under aperture priority mode, the aperture can be controlled manually and the camera sets the appropriate shutter speed accordingly, allowing the user to play with the depth of field and obtain a sharp focus against a blurred background.

Under Shutter Priority mode, the shutter speed can be controlled manually. To obtain more precise and professional photos, BenQ DC C50`s manual mode helps you adjust aperture and shutter speed, at the same time allowing endless possibilities.

The sleek BenQ C50 is designed with usability in mind. Pocket-sized with a 3X optical zoom and 4X digital zoom, the C50 features SD card photo storage for easy file sharing, and three scene modes such as sport, portrait and night scene as well as an interval self-timer shooting.

In addition to the 5MP camera, the C50 features a video option with sound and a voice recording option. Other than colour movie recording, BenQ DC C50 also provides unique black and white and sepia movie recording modes.
