Oracle Open World in Berlin, the showcase of Oracle technologies and developments, has been selected by South African software developer, PM Tech, for the launch of the latest release of its locally developed Oracle database management software.
The new version of PM Ora Professional (version 2,5) features a number of enhancements designed to improve performance and optimise Internet-based real-time monitoring techniques, says PM Tech Holdings director, Mike Leeuwen.
"PM Ora is designed to identify and pre-empt potential database problems which could result in costly downtime and loss of productivity. The latest version features more links for quick drill-down and trouble-shooting. It also has a new look and feel and is easier to use," he says.
Other new features include detailed versioning to include partition names and filenames and improved capacity management for detailed and simplified database space management.
