Oc'e`s VarioPrint 5160 printer has been described as "an exceptional print system specifically marketed to print-for-pay businesses" by BERTL. The VarioPrint 5160 boasts several features that can be found nowhere else in the industry.
The VarioPrint`s Quick Change Developer Stations are interchangeable stations that enable users to quickly replace toner as needed. They can be used either for black printing, single or automatic two-colour printing, or for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR), which is used for cheques and other documents that need to be scanned and recognised.
This means that owners of these systems don`t need to keep or purchase separate two-colour offset systems, or separate MICR-capable printers, but can use this one machine for all their print needs.
Other outstanding features include the Oc'e VarioPrint 5160`s solid construction, consistently fast speeds, variety of hardware options and sophisticated document management solutions.
The printer has a print speed of up to 162 images per minute (letter/A4). Print resolution is switchable between 240dpi, 300dpi and 600dpi. There is also an AutoResolution Mode. It comes standard with a 700MHz SRA print controller, which supports native IPDS (Intelligent Printer Data Stream) or PCL5e, other formats are supported by Oc'e`s PRISMA family of software solutions.
BERTL is an American publisher of news, research and analysis covering digital imaging systems.
