BES appoints new director

Johannesburg, 07 Sep 2004

Local enterprise solutions company, Business Edge Systems (BES), has appointed Karen Malkin to its board of directors.

Malkin first joined BES in 1991 and was involved in application design and delivery before being appointed project manager. She was later elevated to account director level and then to sales and marketing manager. Prior to joining BES, she spent four years with SPL - a position she took after reading for a BCom (Honours) at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Rob Stansell, MD of BES, says Malkin has made a significant contribution to the sales performance of the company since assuming the responsibility of head of sales and marketing in September 2002.

"She has built strong relationships with our strategic partners. Her appointment brings valuable business development insights. I wish her success in her new role."

BES delivers and sustains business application systems for the banking and insurance industries. The company`s capability is focused on identifying and solving real business problems by combining best-of-breed product with its extensive base of implementation, integration and managed support skills.

"Our strength," says Malkin, "lies in our understanding of our clients` business drivers and constraints and then being able to deliver a solution to improve their business."
