Local online auction Web site bidorbuy.co.za has announced the launch of a business-to-business sector on the site, having clinched a deal with local manufacturer of industrial and agricultural steel products, Robor Industrial.
Robor Industrial is expected to put products worth millions up for auction over the next few months.
"The sheer volume of product that Robor Industrial will be auctioning off on the site will add major value to the online auction business-to-business sector," says Pen Schultz, strategic alliance manager, bidorbuy.co.za. "We expect that this exciting alliance with Robor Industrial will create considerable market interest and attract extensive bidding.
"In SA, although consumer-to-consumer growth has dominated online auction trading, business-to-business growth is likely to overtake it fairly quickly. Bidorbuy.co.za has rapidly come to the fore as SA`s leading online auction house and continues to show massive month on month growth in its traffic and transactions."
A Robor Industrial shop has been opened in the bidorbuy Business-to-Business Bulk Auction section with various business-to-business products listed for auction. The business-to-business bulk auctions will be open to Robor Industrial approved and registered bidders. Only these approved bidders will be able to access and participate in the business-to-business bidding process.
In addition, Robor Stewarts & Lloyds, a division of Robor Industrial, has opened a business-to-consumer shop in the bidorbuy shopping mall on the front page of the bidorbuy site. Products are also listed for auction under industrial and agriculture categories. These products are open to all bidorbuy-registered clients.
