Local Billion distributor Nology has announced that two of Billion's newest ADSL2+ routers, the 7300G and the 7404VGP, each received the 'Editor's Choice' awards from Australian Personal Computer (APC) magazine in the categories for 'Basic Modem/Router' and 'All-in-one' respectively. Comprehensive reviews, including speed tests, were done on 23 modems from 14 manufacturers.
The Billion 7300G, which recently replaced the 7202GR2, received the 'Editor's Choice' award for performing exceptionally in the 1km and 3.5km tests, with an average speed of 11.84Mbps. From all the products, the 7300G had the fastest average ADSL2+ performance at 3.5km. In addition, the Billion 7404VGP was also honoured in the 'All-in-one' category, being the second-fastest ADSL modem on average and with good performance at all line lengths.
