bizhub 20 and 20P, big on office tasks, small in size, fit for desktop

Johannesburg, 30 Mar 2011

Bidvest company Konica Minolta South Africa's A4 bizhub 20 and 20P monochrome models complement productive corporate output solutions. The particular appeal of each model lies in its fast output speed and small footprint.

Conveniently situated on one's personal desktop, they provide extra flexibility and confidentiality, for example, in financial or human resources departments. The bizhub 20 combines printing, copying, faxing and colour scanning capabilities, while the bizhub 20P specialises in easing the print load of a small workgroup.

“Small but powerful is a most accurate description for our two new bizhub models,” says Andrew Griffith, product manager at Konica Minolta South Africa. “They feature a very fast print speed and almost instantaneous availability. Up to 30 monochrome pages can be processed in just one minute. It takes a mere 8.5 seconds to get the first print out.”

With their handy dimensions and a lightweight design, the two new bizhubs can be placed next to one's personal workplace. This adds to both convenient access and confidential workflows. Both devices easily integrate into existing printing networks.

The two models are equipped with a 250-sheet paper tray plus a 50-sheet multipurpose tray that can be extended to an overall paper capacity of 800 sheets for the bizhub 20P and 550 sheets for the bizhub 20. The multifunctional product and the printer allow printing with a 1 200x1 200 dpi resolution and include a standard duplexing unit.

When it comes to copying, the bizhub 20 reaches a high speed of up to 30 copies a minute. Thanks to the standard duplex ADF, multi-page documents can be processed quickly and easily.

With multifunctional products in particular, user rights may need to be limited, explains Griffith. The user authentication found in both models, however, makes it easy to limit general access to certain functions, such as print, copy, scan or USB direct print.

“In addition, Konica Minolta South Africa's state-of-the-art printing and office communication devices make a contribution to environmental sustainability and economic use of resources,” adds Griffith.

From an environmentally aware point of view, duplex printing, for instance, is very sensible for significantly reducing paper usage. Furthermore, the bizhub 20 and 20P have been certified with the Blue Angel and Energy Star. These awards testify to the devices' low energy consumption, quiet operation and easy indoor operation. Both come with an efficient power save mode and long-life toner, which leads to better toner yields.
