BlackBerry's latest smartphone, BlackBerry Classic, is now available in SA, through Vodacom, MTN and Cell C.

In what marked a return to the company's signature design featuring a physical keyboard, BlackBerry unveiled the Classic in mid-December. According to BlackBerry CEO John Chen, the phone was the product of customer feedback and feature design elements that improve speed and accuracy of communicating.

In comparison to the Bold 9900 smartphone, BlackBerry said the Classic promises three times faster browsing, 60% more screen space and 50% longer battery life.

Customers can get the device from Vodacom for R399 per month on a Smart S 24-month contract, or buy it prepaid for R6 599.

MTN is offering the BlackBerry Classic on contract only, and prices are as follows:
