BMC Software, locally represented by CCH Enterprise Solutions, has formally strengthened its business alliance with Compaq with a worldwide reseller agreement. Under the agreement, Compaq will resell and use BMC Software`s distributed system application management software products as part of new and existing professional consulting, outsourcing and ongoing support services.
These services, along with BMC`s Patrol, Resolve, MAXM and INCONTROL product lines, help customers achieve higher application availability and enable them to improve management of their e-business computing environments.
As a result of this new agreement, Compaq`s new and existing service offerings that include BMC`s application availability management software are:
Professional consulting services for application management and assurance: Compaq now offers customers a complete suite of management solutions for enterprise customers for systems, networks and applications to ensure high availability.
Outsourcing services: BMC products are part of Compaq`s enterprise systems management services, which includes 24x7 remote management from operations management centres located worldwide.
Maintenance services: Compaq can improve operating system and application management for improved customer productivity using BMC`s experience in deploying Patrol and its expertise in operating environments such as Windows NT.
