Madubela, whose appointment was announced on Friday after he joined the board on Wednesday, is currently the head of Amabubesi Investments, a SilverBridge BEE partner. He has headed up the investment company since 2009.
Madubela started working with Amabubesi in 2004 as head of finance and administration. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Transkei and is completing his MBA through the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
His appointment follows Nthabiseng Mokone's resignation as a non-executive director with effect from last Wednesday. SilverBridge did not provide reasons for Mokone's resignation, but thanked her for her contribution and wished her “the best of luck in her future endeavours”.
Mokone is head of the private equity fund of Amabubesi and has been involved in corporate finance since June 2006.
