Boeing Company renews commitment to Brio Software for enterprise-wide HR applications

Johannesburg, 26 Jun 2002

AST ESM, the sole distributor for Brio Software in Southern Africa, has announced that the Boeing Company has renewed its licence commitment to Brio Software. The Brio implementation allows Boeing human resource specialists self-service access for strategic planning and improving efficiencies throughout the organisation.

Boeing selected the Brio solution because of its simple deployment, ease-of-use and ability to deliver the flexibility required to meet the computing demands of the heterogeneous Boeing IT infrastructure.

Leveraging Brio`s open architecture, Boeing is able to integrate Brio with third-party systems and applications integrators and maximise the value of its existing information assets, a critical capability considering the number of legacy systems that span the organisation.

Additionally, Brio provides the security levels required to protect the personal and confidential information stored within those systems.

"After the success of Boeing`s initial deployment, the company recognised the opportunity and value that Brio would immediately provide its users," explains Andrew Cook of AST ESM. "The Brio Software will continue to partner with Boeing to maximise its investments in its existing information technology and to speed time-to-insight that improves organisational decision-making."
