Botswana Tech chooses Simply Accounting Pro

ACCPAC Africa has implemented 160 copies of its ACCPAC Simply Accounting Pro software at the Botswana Technikon for use in training students of the educational institution.

Ram Jandhyala, business manager at Afro Scientific, the company that handled the implementation, says the technikon selected Simply Accounting Pro as its students needed a product that would give them an in-depth overview of accounting while at the same time being simple and easy to use.

Ann Cumming, Simply Pro product manager, ACCPAC Africa, concurs: "Simply Pro is well-suited to the needs of education as it is simple and easy to use when teaching students the ins and outs of accounting.

Simply Accounting Pro allows users to automate everything from making purchases to making sales, plus tracking time, and managing projects. "Multi-user capabilities allow simultaneous access for as many as six people, and maintains an unlimited number of currencies," says Cumming. "

"Also included is the ability to create and customise an unlimited number of reports using Microsoft Word, Excel and Seagate Crystal Reports.

"The Technikon's decision to use Simply Accounting Pro means that its students will go out into the workplace with employable skills, a sound knowledge of not only accounting but computerised accounting as well," concludes Cumming.
