Bowline launches Mobile NoteTaker

Johannesburg, 25 Jan 2005

Bowline Fulfilment received the distribution rights for African for selected Pegasus products in 2004, and this has now grown in 2005 to include the new Mobile NoteTaker.

Pegasus Technologies, a leading provider of breakthrough handwriting input solutions, invented the PC NoteTaker and the Mobile NoteTaker. Through its state of the art technology, the company is revolutionising the interaction of natural handwriting with PCs, PDAs and cellular phones. Leveraging proven expertise, Pegasus aims to play a key role in the development of next-generation computing devices in which natural input methods will become increasingly important.

Pegasus` revolutionary electronic pens, PC NoteTaker and the Mobile PC NoteTaker, are the world`s first devices that capture natural handwriting on any surface onto any computing device in real-time.

The ultimate handwriting capture device

The Mobile NoteTaker is the world`s first and only truly portable handwriting capture device that does not require any special paper or the presence of a PDA/PC/notebook. Mobile NoteTaker allows you to capture, organise and share your handwritten notes, drawings and sketches.

Using Mobile NoteTaker is simple. By attaching the Mobile NoteTaker to a pad or a single sheet of paper, you start writing with the digital pen. Everything you write is captured. A built-in LCD confirms that what you write is saved - meeting notes, lecture notes, any information you need to save while away from your desk. Mobile NoteTaker can store up to 50 letter-sized pages of notes. Once you capture notes, connect the Mobile NoteTaker to a USB port on your PC/notebook, and your notes are uploaded and synchronised. The included NoteTaker software allows you to edit, share or file your notes.

From professionals to students, people still prefer to take notes the old-fashioned way, with a paper and pen. Mobile NoteTaker bridges the gap between traditional writing habits and digital convenience without forcing users to be tethered to a computer.

Bowline will service both the reseller market, in which it is well established as a Microsoft Authorised Replicator, as well as the retail market, which it has serviced with software and music for several years.
