Brilliant Business Systems, a Softline company and the sole distributor for Intuit products in Southern Africa, has announced the upgraded version of Quicken 2001 Deluxe, the personal finance package planner. The comprehensive personal finance solution enables consumers to make more informed investment and tax decisions and smarter assessments when planning for financial goals.
"Quicken 2002 Deluxe is aimed at the user wanting to take control of their personal finance and eliminating the concerns of accounting and legal finance matters," says Tanya Miranda, general manager at Brilliant Business Systems. "The upgrade enables users to create budgets, generate reports, plan for taxes, and track mutual funds. Balancing cheque books, keeping track of investments and planning for retirement purposes has never been easier," adds Miranda.
The new version offers a number of enhancements and tighter control over the financial key areas of personal finance with benefits including ease of use, smart banking and investing features. Additionally, a once off purchase payment will provide the customer with lifetime support.
Some of the latest upgrade features include:
* Reminder prompts: The package enables users to assign a recurring reminder of certain payments and debt registers within stipulated timeframes. This ensures that payments are always made on time.
* Debt reduction: This user-friendly feature allows the customer to view finance accounts at any given time and requests the user to stipulate the total debt amount on all accounts and the timeframe allocated to clear this debt. The programme then compiles a personalised debt reduction and payment programme over the stipulated time period.
* Reports and graph centre: Quicken 2002 Deluxe includes a new report and graphs centre which allows customers to evaluate their financial position quickly and effortlessly. This management style makes it easy for customers to keep track of their income, expenses, investments, assets and loans. Bank reconciliation: Customers can enjoy the benefit of making one payment, for example, a payment to Telkom, which will automatically update all other relevant transactions within the Quicken 2002 Deluxe finance solution.
* Home inventory: This function allows the customer to compile a relevant and legal inventory of assets to submit for insurance records.
Quicken 2002 Deluxe will be available from June 2002, nation-wide. The suggested retail price is R699.
