Britehouse becomes one of Oracle's first South African partners to achieve IAAS specialisation

Johannesburg, 01 Jun 2017

Britehouse, a Dimension Data-owned company that provides digital solutions to global and African companies has become one of Oracle's first South African partners to achieve Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS) Specialisation. Members of the Oracle Partner Network (OPN) that achieve this specialisation have demonstrated their expertise to sell, architect and implement Oracle's cloud infrastructure solution, which enables them to deploy and manage customer workloads in the cloud.

Britehouse is a Platinum level and Cloud Select member of OPN, and were one of the first Oracle partners in Africa to achieve Cloud Specialisation status, as well as deploy Oracle Cloud HCM and ERP solutions to customers in the territory.

"Becoming Oracle's first partner in South Africa to obtain IAAS Specialisation is another milestone in our vision to invest in upskilling our employees, and become the leader in the provision of Oracle services and products in the Middle East and Africa," said Britehouse CEO, Paolo Masselli. "Our strengths already cover the entire Oracle stack with specific success in Oracle Cloud SAAS, PAAS, IAAS, Fusion Middleware, Database, Engineered Solutions, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, HCM and eBusiness Suite."

According to a July 2016 report by research firm IDC, globally, public cloud IAAS revenues are set to more than triple, from $12.6 billion in 2015 to $43.6 billion in 2020, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28.2% over the five-year forecast period.

"Driving IAAS adoption across Africa is a key focus for Oracle. South Africa has traditionally been an early adopter of latest technologies and the same is true for IAAS as well. Our IAAS offerings enable customers to be agile while reducing cost and enhancing speed to connect with customers and partners", said Stefan Diedericks, Alliance and Channel Director, Oracle South Africa. "We are excited to collaborate with Britehouse and are confident that with its skilled team and extensive network, Britehouse will play an important role in helping us drive IAAS adoption in South Africa."

Oracle Cloud IAAS offers a set of core capabilities, such as elastic compute, storage, networking, bare metal, migration tools, and container that help businesses quickly increase value and performance.

Oracle Partner Network

Oracle Partner Network (OPN) is Oracle's partner program that provides partners with a differentiated advantage to develop, sell and implement Oracle solutions. OPN offers resources to train and support specialised knowledge of Oracle's products and solutions and has evolved to recognise Oracle's growing product portfolio, partner base and business opportunity. Key to the latest enhancements to OPN is the ability for partners to be recognised and rewarded for their investment in Oracle Cloud. Partners engaging with Oracle will be able to differentiate their Oracle Cloud expertise and success with customers through the OPN Cloud program - an innovative program that complements existing OPN program levels with tiers of recognition and progressive benefits for partners working with Oracle Cloud.
