BSkyB, HP settle outsourcing case

HP has agreed to pay British Sky Broadcasting £318 million in a settlement, states ZDNet.

It became known that HP's IT services arm, EDS, lied to the broadcasting company in order to win an outsourcing contract, which centred on the failed design and implementation of a system.

HP has regularly referred to the case as a legacy issue, as it bought EDS in 2008.

FCC to address spectrum issues

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is set to address the technical issues raised by the National Broadband Plan (NBP) regarding the spectrum reclamation, writes TV Technology.

The body plans to focus on the way it can redistribute the available spectrum after the TV transformation in the US.

The FCC is not allowing public access to the working groups until 25 June, when the reports become available online.
