Bytes Technology Networks (BTN), a division of the Bytes Technology Group South Africa (Pty) Ltd, a member of the JSE listed Bytes Technology Group Limited (a member of the Altron group), has for the third consecutive year taken the title as `Cisco Silver Partner of the Year` in South Africa.
The award from Cisco Systems was recently announced at the 2004 Cisco Partner Summit, and comes on the back of BTN` re-certification and recommitment to the networking giant, as a Cisco Silver Partner.
George Atrash, channel manager at Cisco Systems sub-Saharan Africa says, "Bytes Technology Networks is an outstanding example of a company which continuously demonstrates true commitment to the Cisco solution approach."
BTN views the silver certification as a major positioning statement in the market, giving it the ability to position itself among the top specialist providers of Cisco based networking and solutions-based products. The company has in-depth technical knowledge of the Cisco product portfolio and boasts key benchmark sites in South Africa, based on Cisco architecture.

BTN is one of a handful of companies who have managed to sustain their position in the overtraded highly competitive networking environment and are also one of a very limited number of companies to be rewarded for its initiatives by Cisco Systems three years in a row.
