Business Connection has been named as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Enterprise Systems. This significant status has been awarded to Business Connection on the basis of its proven competence in designing, planning and deploying large enterprise engagements based on Microsoft`s latest technologies: Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server and Exchange 2000.
The status of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner is conferred to partners who meet the stringent enterprise criterion associated with the programme, says Craig Nielsen, partner group manager at Microsoft SA.
"Gold Certification validates enterprise solution capability and capacity in a variety of business and technology scenarios. It is not easy to achieve this level of certification, and Business Connection`s Gold status further strengthens the already close business relationship between our companies," says Nielsen.
The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner programme utilises common worldwide standards, structures and objective eligibility criteria. A key aspect defining Gold Partner Status is the requirement for referrals from client companies, who must provide overviews of the services provided to them, as well as commentary on customer service and skill levels.
"We have worked with Business Connection for many years on large scale enterprise deployments, delivering sophisticated infrastructure solutions for many of our large customers," says Nielsen. "The references we received from Business Connection`s clients verified that the company has all the necessary skills and resources required to become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner."
Business Connection is the first partner in SA to be Gold Certified for Enterprise Systems, and the client testimonies were drawn from recently completed large-scale projects. Business Connection client referrals included: the Department of Education, the SA Post Office and Discovery Health.
"We are very excited by our new status as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner," says Benjamin Mophatlane, director of Business Connection. "Programme membership will provide Business Connection with early access to emerging Microsoft infrastructure technologies and will enable us to bring customer solutions to market faster than ever before. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff, Microsoft and our valued customers, who have made this achievement possible."
Given the level of competition in the market today, customers need to evaluate new technology partners critically, says Mophatlane. "Customers need to be assured that a technology provider has the experience and the resources to get to market quickly, without the headaches which sometimes accompany a major technology deployment. Business Connection`s Gold Status provides our customers with the necessary stamp of assurance in this regard."
With more than 16 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSEs) and two Microsoft Associate Consultants on its staff, Business Connection has clearly demonstrated that it has not only the capacity, but also the commitment to developing an intimate knowledge of Microsoft technology solutions. This combination of commitment and ability is vital when it comes to driving the functionality and reliability essential to today`s enterprise-level customer.
Business Connection was established in 1996 by brothers Benjamin and Isaac Mophatlane, and is a predominately black owned IT specialist providing integrated business solutions based on leading-edge technologies. The company has an in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft product range and licensing and has built key partnerships with other leading technology vendors, allowing it to provide customised business solutions to the South African marketplace.
