Business Connection has been honoured by Microsoft Corporation at the software vendor`s annual Channel Partner Conference held recently in Dublin. Business Connection received the Microsoft Large Account Reseller of the Year Award for South Africa for its outstanding accomplishments and world-class performance in the delivery of Microsoft software solutions.
"We were rated on customer satisfaction, service offerings, effective customer relationship management, performance measurements and staff retention programs, amongst others. All of which reaffirmed our commitment to maintaining world class performance and the highest possible service levels for our customers," comments Madelein Jacobs, Group Licensing Manager of Business Connection.
Confirming this was Ana Stark, Microsoft Volume License Programme Manager, who said that Business Connection was also selected for its high certification levels in licensing - just one of the 7 criteria on which prospective LAR`s had been rated. The criteria were specific to South African market conditions but were in a similar vane to those used for LAR`s internationally. "It is not just the largest number of agreements signed that earns a company this top honour. It is a combination of factors that make them all-round performers. It is also a means of recognising LAR`s who have contributed towards Microsoft`s success," said Stark.
The award was presented to Madelein Jacobs and Mamogale Monnakgotla, Business Connection`s Licensing experts, in Dublin on the 4th of October. Eleven South African Large Account Resellers (LARs) and three international LARs represented in South Africa were considered in this category. Although Business Connection has been nominated in this category before, this is the first time the company has achieved top honours.

"The LAR of the Year Award is also a platform on which resellers can measure their own performance against that of their competitors. A further benefit is that it enables organisations to distinguish between LAR`s operating in their local market," explains Stark further.
