Business Connexion has added yet another accolade to its achievements by becoming the only Cisco Advanced Technology Partner (AFP) in South Africa to be certified in IOS XR Routing Platforms.
The ATP IOS XR certification enables Business Connexion to implement Cisco CRS-1 platforms, which forms the basis of all large Cisco next-generation network (NGN) deployments.
To meet Cisco's rigorous certification requirements and criteria, Business Connexion invested in a focused effort to increase its level of Cisco sales and support capabilities.
"This demonstrates our commitment to Cisco's strategy going forward," says Brian Tarr, managing executive of the company's Networks Competency, "and our desire to develop expertise in the new world of complex NGN technologies."
The successful implementation of the SITA NGN project and the awarding of the SANReN/Tenet network deal to Business Connexion are proofs that the partnership between Business Connexion and Cisco continues to grow from strength to strength.
Business Connexion has also received a number of awards from Cisco South Africa, including five 2007 Cisco Partner of the Year Awards (Gold Partner, Public Sector Partner, Data Centre Partner, Customer Advocacy Partner and Product Manager).
