Johannesburg, 04 Apr 2012

Midrand, Gauteng and Mclean, Virginia: Leading ICT services company Business Connexion today announced it has partnered with ZapThink, a Dov`el Technologies company, to offer its globally recognised Licensed ZapThink Architect (LZA), services-oriented architecture (SOA) credentialing course in Johannesburg, from 17 to 20 April 2012.

ZapThink is a leading global enterprise architecture, services-oriented architecture, and cloud computing advisory, training, and thought leadership firm.

It will be presenting the new version 9.1 of the LZA course, which includes the Enterprise Context for SOA, SOA Design Principles, SOA Reference Architecture, SOA Intermediaries and Integration, The Role of Data and Semantics, Service Composition and Business Process, Web Services-Based SOA, REST-Based SOA, SOA Governance and Security, Planning and Running the SOA Initiative, and Addressing SOA Organisational Challenges.

The course will be delivered by ZapThink president, Jason Bloomberg, at Business Connexion's Midrand offices.

“We are excited to have Jason run this course at our location,” says Paul van der Merwe, business unit manager Innovation and Development, Business Consulting at Business Connexion. “ZapThink's course is globally recognised as the best vendor-independent, enterprise-centric SOA course available, and several of our consultants will undergo the training as well.”

He adds that getting involved in this partnership and especially the course is further testament of Business Connexion's dedication to cloud computing and the development of skills around cloud-based technologies.

“As the enterprise space continues to embrace cloud computing, and recognise that it is far more than simply outsourcing your data centre, they will start wanting to maximise its full potential, and this means that Business Connexion and the market at large should prepare for this by having the necessary skills available to match the imminent demand,” explains Van der Merwe.

“Fully leveraging the cloud requires an architecture-focused, enterprise-centric approach that places cloud resources into the context of enterprise IT.”
