Business Connexion won five awards at Cisco`s local partner summit held on 2 November 2007.
The awards received were as follows: Gold Partner of the Year (shared with Dimension Data), Public Sector Partner of the Year, Data Centre Partner of the Year, Customer Advocacy Partner of the Year, and Product Manager of the Year for Business Connexion`s Cisco product manager, Chris Pretorius.
According to Brian Tarr, managing executive of Business Connexion`s Networks Competency, Business Connexion has seen its Cisco business in South Africa grow 86% year-on-year.
This growth is attributed to a number of large enterprise and public sector clients switching their Cisco business to Business Connexion due to Business Connexion`s innovative ICT solutions and skilled resources. This growth trend has continued in Cisco`s new financial year with a number of large deals being placed.
The award for Product Manager of the Year also demonstrates Business Connexion`s commitment to Cisco. "Chris Pretorius embodies everything that one could ask for in a product manager and his Product Manager of the Year award is well deserved. He is passionate about the product he represents, works tirelessly to achieve the goals set by his management team and provides exceptional levels of support to everyone within Business Connexion," Tarr says.
