Business Connexion, South Africa`s leading integrator of competitive, innovative and practical information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, will support two charities as part of the National Women`s Day Celebration taking place on 9 August 2006.
Business Connexion has adopted Leamogetswe Safety House, in Pretoria and the Johannesburg-based SA Abused Children Fund as part of the initiative. Staff members have volunteered to assist in painting premises, gardening, reading books to and entertaining the children housed at these facilities. A further R20 000 will be donated towards helping these charities purchase much-needed items.
Business Connexion`s deputy CEO, Benjamin Mophatlane, says: "We are proud to be part of this community involvement initiative, and are sure that both our employees and the children housed at these facilities will benefit from our participation on the day."
Business Connexion joins a host of South African corporates who will "Show their Hands, Show their Hearts" in the SABC and Nedbank Women`s Day Celebration. Companies are invited to get involved in a wide variety of activities that include `adopting` a charity, providing staff and client volunteers to that charity, donating items and cash, or simply purchasing "Heart Tags" for their staff to wear and show their support.
