Business Edge Systems (BES) has been appointed to represent Australian-based IMX Software Group`s (IMX) forex software products in South Africa.
According to Susan Harvett, GM of IMX SA, the South African retail forex market is undergoing substantial change. "The convergence of travel and foreign exchange has opened-up new distribution channels which are not supported by traditional systems. This has created a strong demand for the capability offered by IMX`s software products."
Rob Stansell, MD of BES, says that clients are demanding proven solutions that can be implemented quickly. The new venture - IMX Software South Africa - combines BES` forex business insight and integration skills with a range of industry-leading products developed by IMX. These products are already in use in companies in North America, the UK, South-east Asia, South Africa and Australia.
DMX, an internet-based product for the retail foreign exchange market, is an enterprise solution that can be deployed in-house or through an ASP. According to Jim Bacskos, MD of IMX this product has attracted phenomenal interest from companies in South Africa and across the world.
"To deploy a complex application like this demands a high level of forex business knowledge and an e-business implementation capability. I am convinced that we made the right decision based on Business Edge`s impressive track record and excellent cultural fit."
The local company will offer a full range of services including business process design, integration, project management and ongoing support.
